Volunteers come together to paint murals on the walls of Smyrna Middle School

A local school is getting very creative with graffiti. No, not illegal graffiti… artwork. Smyrna Middle School is painting murals on the wall dealing with peace, diversity, community, education and positive school spirit.

The project is being led by Art teacher Rebecca Phelps. Students, teachers, parents and community members are painting the murals that will line some of the school walls. The project should be complete by the upcoming school year for students, faculty and teachers to enjoy.
