WGNS and Little Caesars Pizza are, for the ninth year, proud to award trophies to the top middle school sports programs in Rutherford County. Throughout the year, points are awarded for finishing in the top four in various girls and boys sports. Also, the county tournament champion and runner up are awarded points in those same sports.

This year was very competitive, especially in girls sports. In fact, for the first time ever, there was a three-way tie for first place between Oakland, Blackman and Stewarts Creek.

Some highlights include the Lady Chargers winning the girls soccer tournament championship and regular season championship in softball.

When tallying the girls and boys overall points, the Oakland Middle Chargers, for the third year in a row, win the overall all sports trophy.

WGNS Primetime Sports and Little Caesars Pizza will be presenting each winner a trophy this year in recognition of their accomplishments. We would like to congratulate all middle school athletes on a wonderful season and we look forward to recognizing athletes next year, in our 10th year to present the awards.

WGNS Primetime Sports could not make this recognition possible without the help of Pat and Connie McMillen from Little Caesars Pizza. They own the locations on Memorial, Franklin Road and Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro.
