The "Fat Man" told the victim that his vehicle had just been wrecked, according to a Murfreesboro Police Report.

On Tuesday night a retired man who lives on Ewing Blvd. couldn't find his misplaced keys to his car. Evidently he quit looking as he was tired from a long day and an evening of booze. Several hours later he received a phone call from the "Fat Man" who told him his car had just been wrecked on Greenland Drive.

Police quickly learned that he did not give anyone permission to drive his car so the question is, who took it?

Another police report shows that the car ran into the rear of another vehicle that was sitting still. The victim in the car that was hit told officers the offending car struck her and then the driver took off on foot. The driver was a black male in his 40's. The victim who reported his car as stolen is a black male in his 60's. So the question still remains, who was behind the wheel when the wreck occurred?

So far no arrests have been made, but the 2005 Mitsubishi has been recovered.
