At this point, highlights of the Murfreesboro budget have not been released. If a property tax increase is not passed and the rate remains unchanged, this will mark the 16th consecutive year that the budget has passed without a tax increase.
Once the new budget is finalized, it will be approved after three readings of the Murfreesboro City Council. The budget will be before a public comment period before it gets the final green light. It is traditionally adopted by mid June.
