Wilson County Man Charged with Rape in TBI Sex Trafficking Case

In news from neighboring Wilson County...the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has obtained an indictment for a Wilson County man accused in connection to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Travis Lamar Stargill on August 1, 2012. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that on September 4, 2011, the Lebanon man engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor female victim who was being trafficked for sex. On May 12th, the Wilson County Grand Jury returned an indictment for the 38-year-old, charging him with one count of Aggravated Statutory Rape. Today, Stargill turned himself into TBI Agents at the Wilson County Jail, where at the time of this release, he was being held on $25,000 bond.
