The 13.1-mile course starts and stops at MTSU's Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium and the course is around the beautiful flat and tree-lined Murfreesboro historic district. Many area schools spent Friday saluting veterans. WGNS was at Wilson Elementary School, where students read essays they'd written, performed songs and heard from Vietnam veteran Thurman Mullins.
