32 Year old Christopher Herbert was said to be using drugs as the woman was being told to drive. Herbert evidently told her to drive to a South Church Street motel in Murfreesboro to pick up a second subject. The second person apparently did not know that the woman had been forced to drive Herbert from Nashville to Rutherford County.

After stopping at a motel, the suspect told the woman to stop at a gas station to refuel. At the Tiger Mart gas station on South Church Street the man handed the woman $20 to fill the tank up with gas. It was at that gas station where she made her escape and locked herself in a restroom and called police.

Herbert, age 31, has been charged with kidnapping. He remains jailed at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
