We have another report on a Murfreesboro resident being arrested on a charge of “Misuse of 9-1-1.” This is the second time such an arrest has occurred in the City of Murfreesboro in the past 4-weeks.

In this most recent case, 22-year old Maggie E. Murphy called 9-1-1 because, according to an arrest report, she had low blood sugar. When authorities arrived on the scene the report states, “Ms. Murphy refused transport by EMS.” Explaining why she was arrested the report filed by Officer Carroll went on to state, “Ms. Murphy has been warned on several occasions about the misuse of 9-1-1.” 2-Months prior, Murphy was arrested after calling 9-1-1 during a non-emergency situation. 6-weeks later, she was warned not to call 9-1-1 for non-emergencies when she allegedly called for a foot cramp.
