Here is an odd situation. Imagine lying in your bedroom and then all of a sudden someone comes crashing through your ceiling. Well, it happened.

A Murfreesboro man was in his apartment bedroom when he heard someone walking in his attic. The man lives at Alder Terrace Apartments on East Main Street in Murfreesboro.  Soon after hearing footsteps, he heard a crashing sound. When the man walked into his living room he found broken sheetrock and insulation on the floor. He then called maintenance.

Police were called to the scene and they learned that a woman visiting a neighboring unit found a way into the attic. While she was walking around by the light of her cell phone she mis-stepped and fell through the ceiling. She was able to catch herself and climb back into the attic and then walk back to the other apartment.

No charges have been filed.
