If you were in the area of South Church Street at the new Price Less IGA Grocery Store in Barfield Saturday night, you may have noticed police activity in the parking lot of the store. As it turns out, a woman met an unknown subject in the parking lot to test-drive his Honda Accord that was “For Sale” on Craigslist and in the process was robbed at gunpoint.

The victim told authorities that she took the Honda for a spin and upon returning, the subject presented her with a proposed “Bill of Sale.” After looking the statement over and deciding to make a deal, the man pulled out a gun and grabbed $2,500 from the victim. The money was intended to be used to purchase the older model Accord, but was instead STOLEN.

The female described the suspect as being about 55-years of age. He was a white male with salt and pepper colored hair. He was also wearing a gold wedding band. A description of a second subject who was with him was not clear when the report was filed.
