Woman Raped in Her Own Home

A 67-year old Murfreesboro woman was raped at knife point on Friday. The incident occurred at a home in the area of Indian Park Drive. The female victim told authorities that a heavy set black male forced her into the bathroom at knife point. Reports indicate the victim may have been acquainted with the suspect. 

The case has been labeled as an aggravated rape. A charge of aggravated rape is filed when the attacker is armed with a weapon. If the culprit is caught and convicted under the class A felony of aggravated rape, then he could face between 15 and 60-years behind bars.
