A Colorado woman committed suicide by jumping from the Old Fort Parkway bridge over I-24. The tragic incident occurred just before 7:00 o'clock Friday morning (12/12/2014).

The victim, 47 year old Tami Jo Marchello from Mead, Colorado, jumped from the overpass onto the westbound lanes of I-24. She was transported via ambulance to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital and later pronounced dead in the Emergency Room.

The case is being investigated by the Murfreesboro Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
