Woman Spends $2,000+ in Murfreesboro on Gift Card with Zero Balance

Cell phones are all the rage these days and everyone from first graders to those over 90 have one. A cell phone store in Murfreesboro that sells phones and cell phone plans called the police after a female used a gift card to buy $2,000 worth of merchandise and plans.

What is weird about this particular case is that the gift being used did not have any money on it. Apparently the customer told the store clerk a special code to type in to make the transaction go through. The code worked and the female bought 7-cell phones, 6-cases and 2-phone plans over a 5-day period.

Police have a suspect name on file, but it is not known if the name they have is a real name or an alias. An arrest has not been made.
