Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews have started preliminary construction today (Friday) of a new interchange on Broad Street and Memorial Boulevard/Old Fort Parkway. Bell & Associates Construction was awarded the project at a contract cost of $17.6 million.

Crews have started preliminary construction activities, such as installing construction signs and marking the project boundaries. This work will not impact traffic. In February, crews will begin relocating utilities.

TDOT will hold an informational meeting for the community and businesses next month. Officials from TDOT, the City of Murfreesboro and the contractor will all be available to answer questions and provide details about the project timeline. The meeting will take place Tuesday, February 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 in Murfreesboro City Hall.
