The City of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department has offered youth basketball to the citizens of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County for over 50 years. The Murfreesboro Basketball League is the longest running and most successful youth basketball program in Murfreesboro.

Over the years many players from the Murfreesboro Basketball League have gone on to play middle school, high school, and college basketball. The league consistently averages 100 plus teams with over 900 players.
