WGNS has been getting calls from listeners asking about what looks like a two-story building being constructed at 2919 South Rutherford Boulevard, across from Wal-Mart. That's a COOKOUT RESTAURANT.
Talking with their home office in Archdale, North Carolina, Cookout is a privately owned fast-food restaurant that was created by Morris Reaves. In fact, he still owns all of the restaurants, which now number 125. His son Jeremy Reaves is the CEO.
The menu offers a variety of char-grilled burgers, chicken breasts and hot dogs; crispy spicy chicken…plus almost 40 flavors of milkshakes.
WGNS was told this is not a franchise, but a family business. And indeed, the Murfreesboro Building Codes confirmed that even the ownership of the property is the Cookout.
There are other Cookouts in North and South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia as well as a few already here in the Volunteer State.
The Murfreesboro location is being built at 2919 South Rutherford Boulevard, next to Fifth-Third Bank and across from Wal-Mart.
