The Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association (TCWPA) is sponsoring Tennessee’s official Civil War Sesquicentennial License plate. Proceeds from the license plate will support Civil War Battlefield Preservation in Tennessee.
TCWPA received the needed 1000 pre-orders in April and the order was sent to the State. That allowed for the plates to go on sale this month. The plate is available at the Rutherford County Clerk's Office. It was released on October 1, 2013.
The annual specialty plate fee is $35.00 ($70.00 for a personalized plate). You can purchase the plate anytime – even if your tag has not expired. You’ll pay a new registration fee – and get credit for the unused portion of your current registration.
