UPDATE: Smyrna Air Show will be on June 14, Date Confirmed

The United States Navy Blue Angels precision flight demonstration team soars into Middle Tennessee to headline the 2014 Great Tennessee Air Show on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, 2014. The event will be at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport Authority.

"We strive to produce one of the most entertaining air shows in the country and to inspire our youth, our next generation of pilots," said John Black, Executive Director of the Smyrna Airport. "We are proud to welcome back The Blue Angels. They are world-renowned and represent the best of the best out there defending our freedom. Their demonstrations are a thrill for everyone to witness all that they can do."

Mission of Blue Angels:

The mission of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach. Their last appearances in Smyrna were in 2008 and 2012.

The 2014 Great Tennessee Air Show will also include performances by renowned performers Sean D. Tucker, Julie Clark, Skip Stewart, Michael Goulian, the Shockwave Jet Truck, Rob Holland, and the Jet Waco "Screamin' Sasquatch." Additionally, joining Michael Wiskus will be the Lucas Oil Skydivers, John Klatt will fly in his Air National Guard
Staudacher S-300 racing, and the war-bird enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the show when Scott "Scooter" Yoak takes to the skies in his P-51 Mustang. Static displays will be announced in coming months and there will be several concessions on site as well.
