Officials from St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital came by the American Red Cross Heart of Tennessee Chapter on Tuesday, to deliver brand new signage that reflects their new name and logo to be placed in the Preparedness Health and Safety Training room.  The hospital initially sponsored the new training room when the Red Cross relocated from their former Commercial Court office back in 2011.

“We are very appreciative to Gordon Ferguson and Glenda Meredith for their help to update the training room sign to show the community how they have supported the Red Cross in our efforts to help the community learn life-saving CPR and First Aid skills in this facility,” said Mike Cowles, Chapter Executive.  “St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital has been a long-time supporter and friend to the American Red Cross.”

Glenda Meredith, who works for St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital as Physician Liaison Director, serves as a volunteer board member for the Heart of Tennessee Chapter, and she is also the chair of the Communications Committee, which helps to organize promotions for chapter events and fundraisers.
