The Todd Art Gallery at Middle Tennessee State University is hosting a twelve student show now through July 14th. There is no admission, and the gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 each morning until 4:30 in the afternoon.

It features experimental work by art majors and minors in the Paper Studio this summer. Students utilized the department’s Hollander Beater for making pulp from recycled paper shreddings, abaca, cotton rag, and other similar materials. Students in the class learn the basics of papermaking and experiment with both two-dimensional pieces and three-dimensional forms. They are encouraged to utilize a variety of inclusions, flexible deckles, customized deckles, wire watermarks, and various other processes used in handmade papermaking.

Students who are a part of the show are: Holly Baird, Jessica Bruce, Alena Campbell, Jenny Enochs, Cassondra Fischer, Kayla Hillstrom, Courtney Hunter, Zac Rooks, Meredith Scott, Cori Snider, Aimee Swartz, and Lori Woodard.
