Murfreesboro Police Officer Mona Thomas helped an out-of-town woman who came to Murfreesboro to take a "motorcycle training class". During that session, she had an accident and was taken to the emergency room with minor injuries. Since she was not from here, there was no one there to help her. She said that Officer Thomas not only helped her to relax at the crash scene, but when she was released from the hospital the woman had no way to get to where her car was parked. Officer Thomas was there to help. The injured woman said, "Murfreesboro Police Officer Mona Thomas truly went beyond the call of duty".
