Chariot Drive Woman Faces DUI, DOR and Reckless Endangerment Charges

A Chariot Drive woman faces various charges after allegedly driving while intoxicated with her 14-year old and five-year old children in the car. Shannon Kaye Johnson was charged with her fourth DUI and driving on a revoked license charge along with reckless endangerment after the being arrested just before 11 Friday night. Johnson was stopped by Murfreesboro Police on Murfree Avenue at Middle Tennessee Boulevard for reportedly making an improper turn. The responding officer reports she had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Johnson failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody. That's when authorities discovered the previous charges. The Department of Children's Services was contacted and the children were released to family. Johnson will be in General Sessions Court on February 24th to answer to the charges. She was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in lieu of 10-thousand dollars bond.
