Saddle Up for Project Help

One of Rutherford County’s favorite summer events is ready to ride; “Saddle Up for Project Help” is slated for 6:30 Thursday night, July 28 at MTSU’s Foundation Reception House, 324 West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. Proceeds from the event will benefit Project Help, Rutherford County’s only center-based early intervention program. Director Susan Waldrop says the primary Saddle Up mission is to generate the funds needed to remodel the Baird Lane Building to accommodate all center-based programs for families with children under three, and to use the Fairview classroom as the setting for our new Thrilling Threes.

For $50 per ticket, guests can show off their favorite jeans, boots and cowboy hats while they enjoy a Western-themed evening filled with barbecue and live music. In addition to a live band, Saddle Up will feature returning favorites Daniel Rothwell and Thomas Maupin, whose banjo music and fancy footwork will kick off the evening.

Popular Nashville artist Arthur Kirkby will fascinate by creating a painting during the event, which will be included in the silent auction.

A silent auction will also offer opportunities to grab deals on spa packages, tickets to sporting events, family fun and date night outings, and local entertainment.  To learn more about Project Help early intervention or Thrilling Threes programs, call 615-898-2458, or visit mtsu.edu/projecthelp.
