Grand opening of new $5.8 Million indoor tennis facility in Murfreesboro July 15th

The City of Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee State University officials will gather for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, dedicating the new Adams Indoor Tennis Complex at Old Fort Park.

The 70,000-square foot complex sports eight indoor tennis courts, two electronic scoreboards, pro shop, and lounge area with a mezzanine for spectator viewing. The Adams Indoor Tennis Complex, a joint partnership between the City, MTSU and the Christy-Houston Foundation, becomes the official home of the Blue Raider tennis program.

The new Adams Tennis Complex will be open to the public beginning July 15. Hours of operation will be Mon.-Thurs. 7 a.m-10 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Who: City of Murfreesboro, Parks & Rec Department, and MTSU officials, along with the Murfreesboro tennis community, including Mayor Shane McFarland, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Commission Chair Dee Jernigan, MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee, MTSU Director of Athletics Chris Massaro, City Parks & Recreation Director Lanny Goodwin.
