For the second year in a row, Business Facilities magazine has ranked Tennessee as the top state for Automotive Manufacturing Strength. Editor-in-chief Jack Rogers cites VWs plant in Chattanooga and Nissans expansion in Smyrna and Decherd as key to the states number one ranking, adding, quote, “the Volunteer State is well-positioned to defend its automotive crown for years to come.” Second on the list is South Carolina. Michigan ranks sixth.
