The Old Fort Parkway Walmart store has been a hot bed of activity in recent weeks. Two shoplifting cases that recently unfolded in the past two days includes outdoor items.

In one case, a man loaded about six bags of mulch into his car without paying for the ground covering. When confronted by a Walmart employee, the man claimed he would get the receipt out of his vehicle. Instead of grabbing the receipt, he grabbed the gear shifter throwing it into first and speeding away.

In another case at the same store on Monday, a man who appeared to be in his forties helped himself to two leaf blowers and two chainsaws. The man fled the scene before he could be caught.

The two thefts involving outdoor items could be related. A police report shows the suspect is a white male with dark brown hair. He was seen in khaki shorts and a tan baseball cap. The culprit is likely driving a light blue 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis.

A third Walmart theft may also be related, although not confirmed yet. In the third theft, three more chainsaws and chainsaw oil were all taken by a similar subject. No arrests have been made.
