Two Murfreesboro Women Accused of Shoplifting Over $1,600 in Merchandise

One woman was accused of shoplifting over $700 in merchandise and her reported accomplice allegedly stole over $900 in merchandise from Kohls on Old Fort Parkway. The incident was reported by a Kohls employee after detaining one of the women while the second allegedly tried to flee in her car.

When Murfreesboro Police arrived at the department store, they observed a woman in a Kia attempting to leave. After stopping and questioning Latosha Woods, she admitted to the shoplifting allegation and eventually handed over $720 in Kohls merchandise. The 38 year old St. Andrews Drive woman was charged with shoplifting over $500.

Meanwhile inside the store, a loss prevention worker who was waiting with suspect Pamela Talley told police that the two women were together when they passed all points of payment with the loot. Talley, according to a police report, had $935 in merchandise in her possession.

Once at the local jail, it was revealed that Talley had five Neurontin pills, a Suboxone patch and three partial Suboxone pills in her possession.

Talley was charged for possession of prescription pills without a prescription, possession of a schedule three drug, shoplifting and introducing contraband into the jail.

The duo will appear in a Rutherford County General Sessions Courtroom on October 18, 2016.
