Around 10:30 Wednesday morning, the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office received a 911 call about flames coming from windows at a home on Sulphur Springs Road. The first responder on the scene at 4114 Sulphur Springs Road at the corner of Allen Road, said the attic was thirty to forty per cent engulfed in flames.
Sulphur Springs had to be closed to traffic as fire hose was laid along the roadway. The Rutherford County Sheriffs Office was first on the scene, and the Walter Hill Volunteer Fire Department was the lead agency along with help from Lascassas and the Rutherford County Volunteer Fire Departments. The Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services was also at the fire scene.
