Here's an update on the pedestrian hit by a vehicle this past Saturday night. According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, Brenda K. Kelly remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
The incident occurred around 11:30 Saturday night in front of the Dodge Store at 510 Northwest Broad Street. According to Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services, the woman was 54-years old. Kelly suffered multiple trauma and was unconscious at the accident scene. The victim was transported to the ER at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. It was determined that she needed to go to the Trauma Center at Vanderbilt, and was flown there by Life Flight helicopter.
The Murfreesboro woman allegedly walked into the path of an oncoming 2001 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck driven by 69 year old Delela J. Butler of Shelbyville.
Again, Brenda K. Kelly of Murfreesboro remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
