The body of a deceased man found in Murfreesboro on Sunday has yet to be identified.
The subject was located in the area of Dodge's Store on Sunday morning in Murfreesboro. Evidently, the man was found face down in Lytle Creek under the bridge on the Cannonsburgh side of the road along Broad Street.
The man is believed to be homeless as he had a sign that said "Shelbyville Bound" in his backpack, which was found near the body.
Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS on Monday afternoon, "The post mortem exam of the deceased found in the creek this weekend concluded that the manner of death is accidental or natural but the exact cause is yet to be determined. The man's identity has not been determined at this point."
