While the recent arrest was in Nashville, it may curb some cocaine trafficking into Rutherford County.

A continuing investigation into the distribution of large amounts of cocaine in the Nashville area led to Thursday's (2/16/17) seizure of 22 pounds of cocaine and $111,000 cash from a residence at 2222 Crestline Drive in Donelson.

Oscar Manuel Anchondo, 31, and Daniela Romo, 21, were arrested at the home on charges of engaging in a cocaine conspiracy, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives believe the Crestline Drive residence was a base for a lucrative large scale cocaine operation. Thirteen empty kilo wrappers were found along with a large digital scale.

This investigation is being led by the East Precinct's Crime Suppression Unit, with assistance from the North Precinct's Crime Suppression Unit and detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division. Detectives continue in their efforts to identify others involved in the conspiracy, as well as determine from where the cocaine originated.
