The June Boro Art Crawl will be featuring the works of a wide range of artist, from third generation artists to some who have just stared exploring their talent. The Crawl takes place around the Murfreesboro City Square and environments around the ever-increasing downtown area, from Mayday Brewery to dreamingincolor, located not far from Oaklands Mansion. Have dinner and explore what local artists have to offer on June 9th from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Artists from the annual fall Studio Tour will be joining the Boro Art Crawl, showing their pieces in the space that was once Henry's Florist. The artists who will be there are Eva Berg, of Everich Farm (fiber), Elizabeth Bray of Elizabeth Bray Jewelry (metalsmithing/jewelry), Susan Rodehaver or Turtleware Pottery, Judy and Bill Heim of Red Oak Pottery, and, Catie Beth Thomas (weavings and woven jewelry).

Beth Moore will be showing her encaustic collage pieces at Trendy Pieces, Bella's Boutique will feature William Slinkard, who creates abstracts, and Sabine French will be exhibiting her mixed media work at Let's Make Wine.

French is new to creating art, but her work hag great power. "My first love was words," said French. "I ... publish[ed] my debut novella, Southern Charm, [on Amazon.] ... I turned to painting in late 2015 in an effort to "cross train" my brain after a minor brain injury left me unable to write creatively. I had no formal art training (which allowed me to not have very high expectations and just focus on facilitating the flow of creativity); I didn't even know how to use a brush -- so I just poured the paint into my hands and started applying layers. Fortunately my brain is now back online, if a bit different, and yet my interest in painting is only growing. Honestly, I feel as though I only facilitate the process."

Anna Wise, who will be donating the proceeds from her Peter Max inspired paintings to Compassion International, will be one of the artists at Studio C.

Moxie Art Supply and Gallery will feature the work of Pam Mack. Laura Neal will be showing her work at Mayday Brewery.

Both the Center for the Arts and the Murfreesboro City Hall Rotunda will again feature local artists. The Center will feature the work of Larry Kinney, who paints lions and tigers. Members of the Murfreesboro Art League will be showing their art in the Rotunda.
