Rutherford County Property Assessor Rob Mitchell not running for Governor

Rutherford County Property Assessor Rob Mitchell, who was considering a run at the Governor of Tennessee seat, has decided not to move forward with such an endeavor.

Mitchell told WGNS in an email on Thursday, "I would like to inform you that I have decided not to put my name in the Tennessee gubernatorial race. My passion is being Rutherford County's Property Assessor, and I see great potential in Rutherford County's future -- I want to be a part of that growth. I will continue to work with other assessors and representatives in order to bring innovative ideas into practice."

Again, Rutherford County Property Assessor Rob Mitchell has decided not to run for Governor.

The race for the governor of Tennessee will be on November 6, 2018. Early voting will run from October 17, 2018 to November 1, 2018.

Other seats up for grabs in Rutherford County include the Mayor's seat in Eagleville, La Vergne, and Smyrna. The seat for the Mayor of Murfreesboro will be voted on in 2018 on August 2nd.
