The construction of a new addition continues at the TrustPoint hospital in Murfreesboro. Ground was originally broken in July to expand on an 11 acre site at the corner of Thompson Lane and Wilkinson Pike.

Trust point is building a new rehabilitative building for patients. Dr. Paula Stewart explains the plan...

The hospital currently houses 129 beds. According to their original application for their certificate of need, TrustPoint asked to add an additional 88 hospital beds, which adds up to over 200 licensed beds. Such an expansion will add about 400 new jobs to the community once complete. The expansion represents nearly a $60 million investment in Murfreesboro.

The hospital is divided into three medical sections that include a behavioral health hospital, a dual diagnosis medical unit and a rehabilitation hospital.

Bed Count and Additions:

The project includes the construction of a new building and renovation of existing facilities. A 32-bed residential care unit (16 adolescent/16 child) that is not subject to CON review will be built and housed onsite and will be licensed separately
