Dr. Nimal Patel Joins St. Thomas Medical Partners

(Murfreesboro) Nimal Patel, D.O., gastroenterologist, has joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners, practicing at the DePaul location in Murfreesboro.

Dr. Patel has a special interest in aiding patients who experience gastrointestinal disorders. He strives to build strong, curative relationships with patients and works with them to develop plans for their personal growth, health, and success. Dr. Patel earned his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology at the University of Kansas, and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship, both at Larkin Community Hospital. During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Patel was Chief Resident and Chief Fellow.

Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, and holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. Dr. Patel is affiliated with the American College of Osteopathic Internist, American Osteopathic Association, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and American College of Gastroenterology.

In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, exercising, music, and spending time with friends and family.
