Tribute to MEMORIAL DAY (May 27, 2019)--what it means and its local historical connections.

Segment #1: Retired US Army Lt. Colonel Allen West shares what Memorial Day is all about and why we should honor those who have made the Supreme Sacrifice for the freedom that we all enjoy.

Segment #2: Former State Representative and longtime community leader John Hood shares his memories of the maneuvers that were a part of Rutherford County history, and helped to train soldiers for General George Patton's World War II invasion of Europe.

Segment #3: Retired US Army Veteran Andrew Lee tells of his efforts to help soldiers suffering from PTSD. He personally discovered that quilt-making with other vets helps to relax you while talking with others who have had similar experiences. He served 10-years where he was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He completed two deployments to Iraq. Lee suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving in Iraq.
