Some Answers To Listener Questions Re: Concerns With Murfreesboro

This past Wednesday (2/8/2012) Vice Mayor Chris Bratcher was on the WGNS Action Line radio program, and he took calls from listeners dealing with concerns about Murfreesboro.  Here are some of the responses to those issues:

Blackman Roadway

Road at Brinkley and Blaze need paving. Pot holes and rough pavement.

Hobgood School Entrance 

The entrance at Hobgood School has pot holes as well.

Speeding On Sulphur Springs  

Speeding on Sulphur Springs between Northfield and Haynes Drive. Just past the creek past Family Worship Center Chruch.

City Owns Land With Potholes On Hamilton Drive

Hamiltion Blvd the strip of pavement at the car lot behind Martin's Nursery. It's right of way the city owns.

Burned-Out Street Lights

Street light are out or to dim on Kingwood and Sunset area.

Tune Avenue Flooding Problem 

Flooding on Tune Ave at Mr. Puckett's property (1331 Tune Avenue). We have looked at this before, but still not been fixed. He has pictures of water standing and it is a musquito problem when we head into the warm months.

Street Lights Needed On Halls Hill Pike

Street lights on Hall Hill Pike on the citys part of the road.

MTSU Tornado Siren Was Silent During Recent Warning 

Residents near MTSU said they did not hear the tornado sirens the last time there was a warning.

What's Next?

Bratcher has checked-out these complaints and has now formally made a request to City Manager Rob Lyons. More than likely, the information will be passed to the proper city departments to correct these issues. WGNS News will keep you informed.
