(MURFREESBORO) We'll start seeing more traffic as Tennessee starts to fresh-start the economy. Murfreesboro Traffic Department Deputy Director Ram Balachandran warns of areas to avoid between today and May 2, 2020.

City Construction Projects

Right Turn Lane Improvement Work (Robert Rose Dr at Thompson Ln)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for the City of Murfreesboro will be making right turn lane improvements on Robert Rose Dr at Thompson Ln. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Right Turn Lane Improvement Work (Old Fort Pkwy at Gresham Ln)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be performing right turn lane and signal improvements on Old Fort Pkwy at Gresham Ln. There will be lane closures and minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Water Resource Dept Sewer Line Rehabilitation Work (NW Broad St at Clark Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Sunday April 26, Night, 9:00 pm to 6:00 am: Contractor for Water Resource Dept will be performing sewer line rehabilitation work at the intersection of NW Broad St and Clark Blvd. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place. All work will be done at night.

Underground Utility Installation Work (Sulphur Springs Rd at Northfield Blvd)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor for a private development will be performing underground utility work on Sulphur Springs Rd at Northfield Blvd. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Underground Fiber Optics Installation Work (E Lytle St and Spring St)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for a private utility company will be installing fiber optic lines along E Lytle St between N Church St and Spring St and On Spring St between E Lytle St and E Main St. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
