Rutherford County Sheriff?s deputies are searching for a missing Kentucky man with medical illnesses who disappeared Sunday off Burks Hollow Road, a patrol sergeant said Tuesday night. With darkness hampering the search, it was called off around 10:00 o'clock and will continue Wednesday (today, 3/14/12)).

Friends notified the sheriff?s office Tuesday evening that missing man Ethan Wolf Bendl, 20, of Louisville, was picked up from his home Saturday and brought to a residence to visit off Big Springs Road south of Murfreesboro, said Sgt. Monica Fonseca. Bendl and his friends were drinking beer Sunday when he walked away to go to the bathroom and didn?t return.

Bendl suffers from multiple medical problems, friends reported to deputies. His father, who lives in Texas, came to search for his son. His shoes were found on Burks Hollow Road. He is unfamiliar with Rutherford County.

?It?s fairly urgent we find him particularly because of health issues,? Fonseca said.

Deputies were searching with two tracking K-9s and a four-wheeler.

He is described as a white man who is about 5-foot-6 and weighing between 150 and 175 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes. He just shaved his head so he probably has stubble on his head and face. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored short-sleeved shirt and brown overalls. He is supposed to wear glasses.

Bendl has a tattoo of a wolf on his right arm and the words ?bite? and ?barks? tattooed on his knuckles. He has a tattoo of a pair of dice on his calf.

People who know his whereabouts are asked to call the sheriff?s office immediately at 898-7770.
