The Rutherford County School Board will meet July 9th to consider the best route to re-opening classrooms for the upcoming year.

Spurlock says there will be options for parents who don't feel like being back in the building is the best for them:

The director did mention a third option, which would be all distance learning. Spurlock says any decisions made will be done within CDC guidelines and with information from local and state health departments. He added that the central office staff and the school board are aware of the ramifications of decisions they make, but children's safety is the first priority.
