Murfreesboro's own Josh Jones is Tennessee Youth of the Year for Boys and Girls Clubs. He was selected this week for the honor - a first for the local club.
Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and integrated world economy. In the 21st-century world and workplace, leadership skills such as communication, goal setting and teamwork are essential for everyone – especially young people preparing to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.
As Tennessee Youth of the Year, Josh will be competing in the Southeast Regional in a few weeks.
Josh will be on WGNS' Rutherford Issues with Bryan Barrett this Friday to talk about the experience at 10:35AM.
