The La Vergne Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol have cleared a bank where a suspicious package was reported on Tuesday afternoon. LaVergne Police Chief Mike Walker says the package was very much out of place sitting next to the mechanical room. However, a test device showed the package at Regions Bank on Murfreesboro Road was harmless.

After the initial report of the suspicious package just after 3:30 Tuesday, the bank and businesses within 300-feet were evacuated as a precaution.

Chief Walker released photos (below) of the suspicious objects found outside the mechanical room at Regions Bank Tuesday. Again, they were found to be harmless.

No word on who left the items at the bank.
