(MURFREESBORO)  This year you didn't have to worry about the rain and cold for the lighting of the Christmas tree Friday night (12/4/2020) at the Historic Rutherford County Courthouse. That's because it was "virtual" and the hour of entertainment was enjoyed in the comfort of your home.

What a tremendous Christmas gift featuring music, along with the Center for the Arts presenting Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol".

Another wonderful part of the evening was the reading of "The Night Before Christmas" featuring members of the Murfreesboro City Council and the Rutherford County Commission.

A special thank you to Main Street and Executive Director Sarah Callender for spearheading this project, and kudos to City TV 3 and the technical staff at New Vision Baptist Church for the network quality of the production. Plus, Michael Linn White and Larry Flowers did a wonderful job of emceeing the adventure.

If you did not have an opportunity to see the "Virtual Christmas Tree Lighting" or would like to see it again,  CLICK HERE and enjoy thie Yuletide spirit.

And remember, especially this year: PLEASE SHOP LOCAL!
