(MURFREESBORO)  Bink's Outfitters at 13 Southside of Public Square will soon be a memory. Store founder Brandon Binkley made the announcement with a massive inventory clearence sale.

He has great memories with the downtown store, and quips that it started with a dream ignited by a need to purchase camping gear back in 2003. He had no money, but wanted to go camping and could not find a store with affordable gear. Binkley took out a high interest rate $400 loan from a check cashing store. That enabled him to buy lots of cases of gear which he sold from the back of his Honda Accord.

He quickly learned that there was a need, and from those humble beginnings, Bink's Outfitters on the Murfreesboro square was born.

Since that time, the popularity of Bink's Outfitters has exploded. They now have a free-standing store next to the Stones River Centre, a store in downtown Franklin, one in Green Hills, and also in Hendersonville. In addition, in late 2017 a massive new concept, Bink's Lodge opened on Columbia Avenue in Franklin. It offers weapons, clothing and gear for hunters, fishing, archery, kayaks, canoes--all type of outdoor sporting activities.
