The Rutherford County Schools continue to monitor education facilities as they navigate the COVID-19 Pandemic. County Schools Director Bill Spurlock stated the biggest issue right now is staffing…

When a school becomes low on staff and substitute teachers due to a large number of educators having to quarantine, the end result equals a school having to shut down to in-person learning.

One of the most recent reports released by the schools showed that as of January 10th, there were 48 POSITIVE COVID-19 cases among employees and 101 employee quarantines.

Currently, there are no schools in Rutherford County that are closed to in-person learning.
