Murfreesboro continues to monitor the homeless situation through the Housing, Health and Human Services Alliance of Rutherford County, an alliance made up of over 60-nonprofits that serve those experiencing a housing crisis in our community.
The most recent homeless count in Rutherford County shows that the majority of 322 people counted as homeless on January 27, 2020, live in Murfreesboro. Of that number, 48% are without shelter.
