Murfreesboro Organization that Focuses on Helping the Elderly in need of a New Home

A non-profit organization that focuses on helping the elderly in Murfreesboro is in need of a new home.

Mindful Care Adult Day Services has operated in donated space at New Vision Baptist Church for 13 years, ever since the organization’s inception. However, New Vision is expanding its programs and will need the space that Mindful Care presently occupies.

Mindful Care's last day at New Vision will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

The organization need's to find a new home, otherwise, this may mean the demise of Mindful Care. Board president Tom Tozer said, "That would be sad for our participants who suffer from dementia, including early-onset to mild Alzheimer’s—and for their caregivers."

The non-profit is turning to the community to ask if anyone knows of a facility in Rutherford County that has room to spare? Perhaps another church might be the solution. Some churches are busy on Sunday, but sit vacant the rest of the week. Ideally, Mindful Care needs about 2,000 square feet. A smaller space might work, but it would depend on the configuration of the area.

If you know of a church in Rutherford County that would be open to housing what one might call an “outreach ministry,” please call Tom Tozer at 615-653-6209, or email ttozer@comcast.com, with contact information.
