Murfreesboro Police responded to a “Shots Fired” call on Friday afternoon at the Barfield Downs subdivision. Several residents who live in the Barfield Road neighborhood told WGNS NEWS that the subject who allegedly fired the shot, reportedly fired it from the window of a home on Tin Cup Drive.

WGNS asked the MPD to confirm reports that suggested the person who fired the shot was a 17-year-old male and Public Information Officer Larry Flowers stated, “The only information I can confirm is, MPD officers responded to a shots fired call on Tin Cup Dr. on Friday, Feb. 26 about 3:57 p.m.  Apparently, no property or person was the intended target.” As for the age of the person who reportedly fired the shot, Flowers said that because the incident involved a juvenile, he could not discuss further details of the case.
