The Blackman girls punched their ticket to the Class AAA Girls State semifinals with win over Arlington Thursday night from MTSU's Murphy Center:

Jon Dinkins had the play-by-play on State Farm Prep Sports. Senior Iyana Moore, who scored 17 for the Lady Blaze, says they weren't intimidated by the state tournament atmosphere:

Blackman had to wait until late Wednesday night to see who their opponent would be since the TSSAA removed Arlington from the playoffs after an alleged assault of the opposing coach in a region game. A Shelby County judge reversed the TSSAA's decision late Wednesday.

Coach Jennifer Grandstaff says they didn't spend a lot of time worrying about who they'd play in the quarterfinals:

Grandstaff says her team came out focused:

Seniors Kaylee Odom and Victoria Page both chipped in 14-points each.

Blackman, now 22-3 on the season, will play Maryville Friday night at 8:30 in the semifinals.
