The Rutherford County Schools are in need of teachers.
Multiple positions are available for educators in pre-K grades through the 12th grade.
The county schools are also offering a signing bonus for hard to staff areas like 6th through 12th grade math, physics, chemistry, world languages, English as a second language and more.
Dr. Andrea Anthony, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, told WGNS what the sign on bonus amounts to…
Once hired, half of the signing bonus is paid in the fall and the remaining half is paid in the spring.
Reports from the schools central office indicate that each school will set their own Zoom meetings with potential educators. However, there will be a large scale Teacher Recruitment Fair on April 10th. The job fair will be virtual (online), from 9–11 a.m. in April.
